A twisted married couple have been charged with sexually abusing a missing 14-year-old girl — a friend of one of their children — who was found hiding in a box in their bedroom, according to police.

Andrew Olson, 49, and Angeline Olson, 47, were arrested after a concerned neighbor called police and reported seeing the girl and Angeline semi-naked outside of a home in Maplewood, Minn., just hours after the unidentified youngster had been reported missing.

“A little girl comes running out of the house, half naked,” Teaira Vennes, who phoned the cops, told KARE. “Then I noticed the woman, Angeline, in the bushes. She comes out of the bushes and she’s naked — her whole top half is just out.”

The Olsons became argumentative when confronted by police, but eventually allowed them to search their shambolic-looking home.

The officers “ultimately located [the girl] in a cardboard box in the Olsons’ bedroom under a pile of clothes,” according to a criminal complaint obtained by CBS News.

The parents were both taken into custody.

The girl was reported missing by an assistant principal at her middle school, who said she had left the school without permission around 8 a.m. on May 26, the day prior.

The girl’s father told investigators that she may have been at her friend’s home in Oakdale, whose parents are the Olsons.

But when police knocked on their door that afternoon, Angeline said the girl was not there.

Police were called back to the home early the next morning after the girl was seen wearing a “black swimsuit top” and was with a man and a woman who appeared to be cooking something at the time, according to a criminal complaint.

Police also obtained a warrant to search the couple’s devices and found several images of the victim being assaulted by them. Metadata shows the assault happened the afternoon she went missing, according to the complaint.

“Just disgusting that people would do that to children,” Nathan Pierce, who says he called the cops at least a dozen times on the Olsons since moving to a nearby apartment complex four years ago, told KARE.

Neighbors said the couple’s own teenage children were taken away by Child Protective Services earlier this year, but the 14-year-old girl continued to return.

Angeline was charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct, according to court records.

Andrew was charged with three counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct.

Angeline faces up to 30 years in prison, while Andrew Olson faces up to 18 years, if convicted.

“It’s not just another story, it’s another f–king victim, it’s another little girl,” Vennes said. “After going through this, I couldn’t never imagine that happening to my daughter.”
