Booted Bronx bar patron comes back with a gun and blasts cook — then gets shot by off-duty parole officer

The wild Labor Day exchange of gunfire came shortly after 1:45 am. at Kutty Bar & Lounge on Boston Road, when cops were called to the scene on a report of a shooting victim, an NYPD spokesperson said.

According to law enforcement sources, the 40-year-old gunman was kicked out of the watering hole, grabbed a gun from his vehicle and came back shooting, hitting the bar’s 37-year-old cook in the right leg.

But an off-duty and armed state parole officer was at the scene and returned fire, hitting the suspect multiple times in the torso, according to police and sources.

The wounded shooter, whose name was not relased, managed to make his way out to into his white SUV and tried to flee, but crashed into a pole nearby.

Police said both victims were rushed to Jacobi hospital, where the cook is listed in stable condition and the gunman is listed in critical condition following the early-morning shootout.

The incident is under investigation.
