Floyd Mayweather bodyguards accused of smashing $3K camera at NYC studio

The incident took place during Mayweather’s interview at the offices of streaming platform ZEAM Studio at 1021 Sixth Ave. in Manhattan, sources said.

Officials said at the time of the interview, a verbal dispute broke out between employees at the studio and Mayweather’s security team.

During the dispute, the boxers’ bodyguards allegedly pushed their way into the studio and grabbed one of the employees’ cameras, worth about $3,000, and smashed it to the ground.

The incident involving the bodyguards, who allegedly broke the 54-year-old employee’s camera, was not reported to cops till Friday, sources said.

Representatives for Mayweather did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

This isn’t the first time Mayweather’s security detail has found itself under police investigation for allegedly going after a camera person.

Earlier this year, a man sued Mayweather for a 2022 incident where one of his bodyguards allegedly struck him and tried to wrestle his phone away after he was caught trying to film the boxer during a visit to an LA restaurant, according to the Los Angeles Times.

A Mayweather rep later claimed the boxer had left the restaurant without incident because it was getting too crowded.
