Gilgo Beach serial killer suspect Rex Heuermann is “not as intelligent as he perceives himself to be,” the top prosecutor said in the wake of the shocking reveal of an alleged killing spree “blueprint” found in his home.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney noted that the so-called “blueprint,” which was uncovered on a computer in Heuermann’s home, was riddled with spelling errors.

“I think, probably, [Heuermann] is not as intelligent as he perceives himself to be,” Tierney said in an interview on “Top Story with Tom Llamas” on Thursday evening, hours after prosecutors charged Heuermann with two more slayings.

“I think that, you know, he perceives himself a certain way. And, you know, his obsession, first and foremost, is this preoccupation with luring and hunting women and murdering them,” he suggested.

Heuermann, 60, appeared in court Thursday morning and pleaded not guilty to two charges of murder – this time for the 1993 killing of Sandra Costilla and the 2003 death of Jessica Taylor.

During the proceedings, prosecutors unveiled the “blueprint” for his alleged killing spree – which included notes on sexual torture and how to clean up after the gruesome crime.

Authorities found the lists in the basement of Heuermann’s Massapequa Park home, which was extensively searched in the wake of his arrest on July 13, 2023, and then again in May.

Speaking on Thursday night, Tierney said investigators will “go where the investigation” points them – and did not rule out a third search of the Heuermann property.

Tierney said the planning documents spoke to Heuermann’s alleged “obsessiveness” over his crimes.

The 60-year-old father of two is now facing charges for six murders between 1993 and 2010.

Five of his supposed victims – including the “Gilgo Four,” or the four young women whose remains were found along Ocean Parkway in late 2010 – were known sex workers.

During searches of Heuermann’s devices, investigators learned that he had extensive collection of torture porn, including images of breast and vaginal mutilation.

Sandra Costilla, whose body was found in Southampton over 30 years ago, had sharp force injuries to her breasts and vaginal area

Heuermann’s defense attorney, Michael Brown, told The Post on Thursday that his client was “startled” by the new charges.

The hulking architect is “adamant about his innocence,” Brown added.
