“We finally got Tylor the help he needed,” influencer Jacob ‘Jake’ Harris, who was called in to help by the former actor’s worried dad, said in a video on Instagram.
“He’s currently receiving medical attention to get him healthy, to get him all better.”
Chase’s dad had asked Harris — who has previously helped other addicts get help — to do whatever he could for his son, who trashed a motel room he was put into by his former “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” co-star Daniel Curtis Lee.
“I was able to finally get ahold of a crisis center that would come out and do a same-day evaluation,” Harris told the Daily Mail.
“They determined he needed immediate help and brought him to a local hospital for 72-hour treatment,” he said.
‘He’s in good care now. And the future is looking bright. He just needed someone to actually do something to help.’
Chase’s father previously opened up his son’s struggles with addiction, brought on by diagnoses including bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. In 2021, he got Chase into rehab in Georgia, but the former child-star ultimately rejected treatment before moving to California.
Harris began spearheading a campaign to help Chase through his friend Shaun Weiss, the “Mighty Ducks” star who also struggled with addiction.
Weiss saw the viral video of the child actor on the streets of Riverside, California, and stepped in, trying to get Chase the help he needed.
Harris told his followers that he sat with Chase for over an hour as family and friends called and encouraged him to get treatment.
“Jake had established a conversation with him and was working on establishing a rapport, which is difficult — and it can be tricky — considering the state that Tylor’s in,” Weiss told the Daily Mail. “He said that Tylor seemed to be very receptive to getting treatment and to the idea of going into a detox.”

Weiss added that Chase got “spooked” during the conversation, and even told Harris, “I like my life the way it is.”
It’s unclear where Chase will be transported to following the treatment.
