Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff released 2024 campaign merch Thursday featuring a much younger version of himself, prompting social media users to go wild.
“Kamala’s campaign team tells me you liked this photo so much they made merch out of it,” Emhoff posted on X.
The Tinder profile-worthy photo features Emhoff in his younger days wearing a blue Laguna Beach T-shirt.
A previous social media post on X went viral in July after a user posted the pic with the caption “I need Gen z to see this picture of Kamala’s husband in the 80s and make him TikTok’s white boy of the month.”

The picture was well received among liberals.
“As a non-Jewish woman who long ago married a nice Jewish boy from New Jersey (still friends with him and his second wife 45 years after we divorced), I feel this merch was made specifically for me and my credit card is about to melt down! Thanks for giving us what we need!” one X user wrote.
“A thirst trap Doug Mug!” wrote another.
“Sir. I am a student and have no money. But I will still be purchasing several of these things. Thanks. Ugh,” wrote a third.
Harris and Emhoff married in 2014 following a one-year romance. He has supported her on the campaign trial and has done solo events, often focusing on Jewish issues.
The merch drop is reminiscent of President Biden’s 2020 viral moment when his campaign posted a picture of a younger Biden.
Harris also had a viral moment with her law school graduation photo, in which she donned classic late ’80s big hair. The picture was also slapped on 2020 Biden-Harris race merch, which reappeared again for her own campaign run.

The Harris merch website is still selling President Biden gear and a Biden-Harris item despite him dropping out of the race.
Some apparel still has the “Dark Brandon” emblem with “2024,” even though Biden is no longer a candidate.
Biden 2024 yard signs also remain for sale on Harris’ revamped website – including one that’s simply a giant “Dark Brandon” head with laser eyes.
