Hulking prisoner who escaped by rappelling down NYC hospital wall using bed sheets still at large — a week later

He’s still at large — and then some.

The hulking Spider-Man-like prisoner who escaped by rappelling down the side of a Manhattan hospital was still at large Wednesday — a week after he made a break for it, authorities confirmed.

Yenchun Chen, 44, has managed to dodge cops since his daring escape — in which he used knotted bedsheets to lower himself down Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in Gramercy Park on the afternoon of Aug. 9, according to police.

Chen — who stands 6 feet 3 and weighs about 250 pounds — then hopped in a cab and took off.

He was tracked by cops to New Jersey the following day, and police searched several locations, to no avail.

It wasn’t immediately clear where the search for Chen stood on Wednesday.

Police confirmed Chen was still on the lam.

A Department of Correction spokesperson said, “The individual has not been apprehended,” but did not comment further.

Chen was arrested July 31 for criminal possession of a controlled substance and was hospitalized Aug. 4 due to a cardiac problem, according to a DOC rep and sources.

He bolted from the fifth-floor hospital window while he was supposed to be showering — then climbed a ladder down to street level, sources said.

The fugitive was described by police as having brown eyes and black hair with tattoos on his left arm and left hand.

Anyone with information about Chen’s whereabouts should call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
