Machete fight on NYC street leaves two injured

A 60-year-old man was stabbed in the neck, and another man, 40, was cut on his arm and stomach when the violence erupted around 11:40 p.m. on Nagle Avenue near Thayer Street in Fort George, cops said.

The two men appeared to have cut each other, sources said.

The 911 caller initially reported the violence as a shooting, only for police to discover the men had been stabbed, cops said.

Both men were taken to Harlem Hospital, where the older man is listed in critical condition and the younger man is stable, authorities said.

Photos from the scene show the machete lying on the ground near the curb, with the handle on the sidewalk and the long blade protruding into the street.

Bloody towels or articles of clothing littered the street, alongside blue medical gloves.

No one has yet been charged in connection to the violence, and it remains unclear how the violent fight began.
