Menace bashes stranger in face with baseball bat in Manhattan: cops

It was reported to police that on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at approximately 2235 hours, in the vicinity of West End Avenue and West 107 Street, a 24-year-old male victim was approached by an unknown male individual. The individual struck the victim in the face with a baseball bat multiple times and fled on foot westbound towards Riverside Park. The victim sustained injuries to the face and was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition. *NYPD looking for man who attacked stranger with baseball bat

The unsuspecting 24-year-old victim was walking near West End Avenue and West 107th Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when the maniac ran up and started swinging the black bat, the NYPD said.

The thug hit the stranger several times in the face before running off westbound toward Riverside Park.

The unidentified victim suffered facial injuries and was rushed by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition, cops said.

Police released video of the alleged suspect creeping through the streets in all black clothing carrying a black baseball bat.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, roughly 5 feet 8 with a slim build.
