“Dr. Varma’s actions betrayed public trust…which is in direct violation of a medical professional’s responsibility,” wrote Republican Councilwoman Vickie Paladino in a Sept. 26 letter to the agency.

“It is imperative that the Department of Health’s Office of Professional Medical Conduct takes immediate action to prevent further harm,” she said. “I urge you to thoroughly investigate these concerns and consider revoking Dr. Varma’s license to practice medicine in the interest of public safety.”

Varma, who served as ex-Mayor Bill de Blasio’s senior health advisor during the heart of the pandemic — was caught in recently-released hidden-camera video boasting about attending underground, drug-fueled sex parties during the pandemic.

He also backed lockdowns that wrecked businesses and pushed vaccination mandates that ultimately put many New Yorkers out of work during that same time.

Some critics, such as Councilwoman Joann Ariola, have accused the ex-COVID czar of perjuring himself by repeatedly testifying under oath that vaccination was the only way to stop the spread of coronavirus, while in the clips posted by podcaster Steven Crowder’s “Mug Club,” Varma confessed natural immunity is as good as the jab.

Varma could not be reached for comment, but in a previous statement said the footage released is “spliced, diced, and taken out of context.”
