OJ Simpson assured fans he was in good health in final video before cancer death

OJ Simpson had assured his fans that he was in “good health” despite his prostate cancer diagnosis in what would be his final social media video just two months before his death on Wednesday.

“Thank you to all the people who reached out to me. My health is good,’ Simpsons, 76, said in the February post as he sat in front of a pool.

“Obviously I’m dealing with some issues, but I think I’m just about over it, and I’ll be back on that golf course hopefully in a couple of weeks,” he added.

The rest of the video involved the former running back touting the San Francisco 49ers and offering his prediction for the Super Bowl, where his team would ultimately lose to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Simpson’s post came just two days after it was revealed that the Pro Football Hall of Famer was battling prostate cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.

The ex-Buffalo Bills great – most widely known for his acquittal in 1995 in the murder case of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman – was quick to deny rumors that he was in hospice care over the diagnosis.

The Post had previously acquired pictures back in November of Simpson in Las Vegas appearing to look extremely frail and walking with a limp.

Simpson’s family confirmed that the 76-year-old lost his battle to cancer on Wednesday.

“On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer,” the family wrote on X.

“He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace,” the brief statement added.

Prostate cancer remains the second-leading cause of cancer death in American men, according to the American Cancer Society.

About one in 44 men will die from prostate cancer, the organization adds.
