Colin Dorgan, team captain and a standout defenseman for Blackstone Valley Schools’ hockey team, can be seen in his No. 17 jersey skating backwards at center ice when the deadly shooting started, video shows.
After the first few cracks of gunfire, the high-school senior momentarily whips his head around toward the source of the sound just feet away from where he was on the ice.
He then immediately began skating toward the rink exit along with a number of other players and the referee, fleeing for their lives.

In the stands, his father, who also identified as Roberta Esposito, had just murdered Colin’s brother and the dad’s ex-wife before fatally turning the gun on himself.
Three other people were critically wounded in the attack during the Sunday afternoon game at Dennis M. Lynch Arena, including two other unidentified relatives and a family friend.
