Florida Sen. Rick Scott ripped President Biden for running a “lawless” and “open” border — with the backing of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Democrats who he accused of acting as Biden’s “little robots.”

“The Biden administration is lawless. They don’t care what the laws are,” Scott said during a Sunday interview on 77 WABC radio’s “The Cats Roundtable” with host John Catsimatidis.

“Biden wants an open border. I don’t know why he wants an open border. I don’t know why he wants terrorists in our country. I don’t know why he wants criminals in our country. I don’t know why he doesn’t care about the rule of law. But Biden does not care,” added Scott, a Republican who is running for re-election this fall.

Scott’s broadside comes as record numbers of migrants cross into the U.S. from the southern border with Mexico, and New York City and other urban locales strain to shelter the unrelenting waves of thousands of asylum seekers getting bused into their municipalities.

Both the Senate and the House will discuss border security along with funding to help Ukraine and Israel fight their adversaries at the beginning of the 2024 session. Republicans have resisted agreeing to releasing aid to foreign countries without a deal to tighten border security.

Scott, a former Florida governor, said Schumer and Democrats are carrying Biden’s water instead of doing what’s best for the country.

“Schumer has them acting like little robots that whatever Biden wants, that’s what they get. Biden wants an open border,” he said.

“We’ve got to say, ‘we’re not gonna do anything else, we’re not gonna do Ukraine funding, we’re not going to continue funding our federal government, we’re not gonna do anything, unless we get a secure border,’” the senator added.

Scott claimed “we don’t need a new law … we need enforcement of law.”

He also took a shot at Mayor Eric Adams and other Democratic elected officials who boast that New York is a sanctuary city that welcomes all.

“Eric Adams and all these other people in New York City said that New York City is a sanctuary city. Well, gosh! I guess it’s only a sanctuary city on paper, because when they have the obligation now to do what they said they believe in, they don’t want to live up to it,” Scott said.

The White House and Schumer had no immediate comment.

City Hall also had no immediate comment. But Adams has repeatedly said that immigration is a responsibility of the federal government and that Biden and Congress need to boost funding to help cities absorb tens of thousands of migrants.
