“I heard about a multitude of gunshots go off and people just screaming,” sophomore Logan Hayes, who was taking an exam at the time in the Constant Hall building, told WAVY.

The two injured students were rushed to a local hospital following the shooting at around 10:50 a.m., where their conditions are unknown.

The gunman has not been identified, and it isn’t known if he was a student at ODU.

All classes and operations on the main campus have been suspended for the day, ODU said in a statement to students.
