Skid loader driver goes on wild rampage, accused of attacking officer, damaging cars

A skid loader driver was arrested in Nebraska after going on two wild rampages in snow-filled parking lots where he damaged cars and rammed into a police vehicle that tried to stop him.

The wild scene began in the parking lot of a U-Stop convenience store in Lincoln on Sunday afternoon where Samuel Peyrot, 36, was observed “vandalizing vehicles with the machine,” police said in a press release.

The brazen driver then took his front loader down the street to a Home Depot, where witnesses took footage as Peyrot’s path of destruction continued.

At one point a police SUV with sirens on attempts to pull over the skid loader, and Peyrot was seen maneuvering around the cop car before ramming into the passenger side doors of the police vehicle

“Get out of the car now! Do not move!,” an officer commanded as he pointed his weapon at the driver, according to the footage.

More officers eventually arrived on the scene and arrested the reckless suspect, according to police and the bystander’s footage.

Peyrot was charged with second-degree assault on an officer, second-degree assault and criminal mischief, police said.

Multiple vehicles and the exteriors of two businesses were damaged during the rampage, and a man inside one of the vehicles that was targeted suffered minor injuries, according to cops.

The skid loader is owned by Peyrot’s boss, authorities said.

A Lincoln Police spokeswoman said she did not know what motivated the suspect when reached for comment by The Post.
