On tonight’s episode of “Conspiracies & Coverups,” host and former CIA covert agent Andrew Bustamante probes the death of infamous convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to get to the bottom of the controversial story.
Andrew will sit down with experts to reconstruct the crime scene, using a full-scale replica of the pedophile’s jail cell to test whether the evidence points to suicide — as officially ruled — or something much darker.
The episode will take a deep dive into what may have happened in Epstein’s jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City the night he died on Aug. 10, 2019 as he was awaiting trial on serious sex trafficking charges.
The official explanation was that he hung himself, but that story has never sat right with many experts and observers.
Andrew will examine competing theories — including suicide, assisted suicide, murder and even escape — through expert interviews, medical analysis of Epstein’s injuries and first-hand accounts from a fellow inmate.
He’ll pressure-test each scenario inside the replica of Epstein’s cell, conducting hands-on experiments to evaluate timelines, physical constraints and plausibility of the going theories.
Through a mix of intelligence tradecraft and forensic insight, the episode breaks down what’s possible, what’s unlikely and why so many questions remain unanswered.
Joining Andrew in tonight’s episode will be forensic psychologist Dr. John Paul Garrison; Julian Dorey, host of the “Julian Dorey Podcast;” William Mersey, a former inmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center and forensic pathologist Dr. Priya Banerjee.
Along for the ride will be the New York Post’s own Gabrielle Fahmy, a reporter and the Sunday deputy news desk editor.
