Oran Routh is accused in a North Carolina federal court of receiving and posessing child porn – a fact which the feds discovered on Sept. 21 when they were searching his Greensboro home in connection to a separate investigation, according to a criminal complaint.
Oran is the son of Ryan Routh, who is accused of trying to kill former President Donald Trump while he was golfing at his club in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sept. 15.
Oran is the son of Ryan Wesley Routh who is accused of trying to kill former President Donald Trump while he was golfing at his club on Sept. 15.
Ryan Routh sent a letter to a friend that acknowledged he tried to kill Trump over his views on Russia and the Ukraine war, as well as other foreign policy matters, according to federal prosecutors.
The feds searched his rental unit on the second floor of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment – finding electronic devices including a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 found in a laptop bag that contained “hundreds of child pornography files,” the court papers claim.
The videos show children as young as 6 being sexually abused, feds allege. There was also child porn on another Galaxy Note 9 that Oran Routh had on him, the complaint says. The phone also had a messaging app often used for the distribution of child porn, with messages from July asking for a preview of the sick content before two files were sent to the device, the court papers claim.
It was not immediately known who was representing Oran in the criminal case.
