Trump says he’s not ‘impaired’ after seemingly confusing Obama and Biden at campaign stops

Former President Donald Trump was adamant Monday that he hasn’t lost his marbles and crowed about how he recently “aced” a cognitive test after seemingly confusing former President Barack Obama with President Biden at recent campaign events.

Clips of the 77-year-old appearing to mix up the 44th and 46th presidents have swept across social media and been eagerly dissected by the 45th president’s political foes.

But Trump has insisted that he was “sarcastically” mixing up the two Democrats to rib Biden about who is really running the show.

“Whenever I sarcastically insert the name Obama for Biden as an indication that others may actually be having a very big influence in running our Country, Ron DeSanctimonious and his failing campaign apparatus, together with the Democrat’s Radical Left ‘Disinformation Machine,’ go wild saying that ‘Trump doesn’t know the name of our President, (CROOKED!) Joe Biden. He must be cognitively impaired,’” the Republican front-runner wrote on Truth Social.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign has begun tabulating its rival’s gaffes on the campaign trail, highlighting mishaps such as Trump forgetting which city he was in and fretting that Biden will lead us into “World War Two.”

“No, I know both names very well, never mix them up, and know that they are destroying our Country. Also, and as reported, I just took a cognitive test as part of my Physical Exam, and ACED it,” Trump added Monday.

“Biden should take one so we can determine why he wants Open Borders, No Energy Independence, A Woke Military, High Inflation, No Voter I.D., Men playing In Women’s Sports, Only Electric Cars & Trucks, A Weaponized DOJ/FBI, and so many other CRAZY things!!!” he chided.

Last week, Trump released a letter touting his “excellent” health and weight loss to mark Biden’s 81st birthday.

The glowing missive, signed by Dr. Bruce Aronwald of Morristown, NJ, provided few details about Trump’s actual examinations, the most recent of which was purportedly conducted in September.

Should Trump win the presidency in 2024, he will be poised to become the oldest sitting president in history, overtaking Biden.

Earlier this month, the former president’s older sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, a former federal judge, died at the age of 86.

Biden would be 86 at the end of his presidency if he serves a full eight years in office.

Republicans have long needled Biden over his age, amplifying a steady stream of gaffes and blunders during his public outings.
