Trump tears into ‘Comrade Kamala’s’ socialist price-control plan: ‘Full Communist’

The Republican presidential nominee compared economic proposals to reduce inflation that “Comrade Kamala” announced a day earlier – which includes cracking down on price gouging – to infamously failed communist plans pushed in Venezuela and the former Soviet Union.

“In her speech yesterday, Kamala went full Communist …” Trump told a packed house of supporters at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

“She wants to destroy our country. After causing catastrophic inflation, Comrade Kamala announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls,” Trump said.

With food prices surging more than 20% nationwide during the Biden-Harris administration, Harris, during a North Carolina rally on Friday, unveiled economic policies she’d enact during her first 100 days as president.

They include having the Federal Trade Commission enforce a federal ban on price gouging that would slap hefty penalties on companies that set exorbitantly high prices.

“What they are doing is a communist takeover of our country,” Trump said of the Harris proposal.

“Her plan is very dangerous because it may sound good politically … This is Communist; this is Marxist; this is fascist.”

The ex-president also took a few minutes to offer the left-wing Washington Post rare praise for publishing a scathing editorial ripping Harris for claiming price gouging is causing inflation and, rather than offer a legit plan to fix it, offering only “populist gimmicks.”

Trump’s appearance was his seventh this year in the key battleground state where recent polls show a stalemate between him and Harris for Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes up for grabs.
