The order will also mandate a visa review of athletes who enter the US to compete and mark the wrong sex on their application for potential “fraud.”

Allowing trans women to compete against biological women is “dangerous” and “unfair,” White House officials said in a call previewing the signing Wednesday morning.

“On his first day in office, Joe Biden signed an executive order calling on schools across the country to allow students to compete in the sport of their ‘gender identity,’” one official said.

“That is a slap in the space to be countless female athletes who dedicate tremendous effort to be the best in their sport, only to be forced to compete with biological men.”

Title IX, passed in 1972, prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or other education program that receives federal funding.

In the decades since, Title IX compliance has often been cited by colleges to increase their offerings of women’s sports — and the law has received credit for the growth in popularity of sports like women’s basketball, soccer and softball.

Women who are forced to compete against biological men will also be allowed to sue schools, the White House officials noted, saying that “should very much concern” would-be violators.

Trump had campaigned on the promise of ending male participation in women’s sports as many around the country rallied against trans women like Penn swimmer Lia Thomas setting new records in collegiate competition.

“It’s a man playing in the game,” told Fox News back in October.

“You just ban it. The president bans it. You just don’t let it happen.”
