Trump transition team member says former Rep. Mike Rogers won’t be next FBI boss

Rogers, 61, was rumored to have been on the shortlist to become head of the bureau — but Scavino said Trump threw cold water on the prospect when asked about the ex-Michigan Republican rep’s standing.

“Just spoke to President Trump regarding Mike Rogers going to the FBI. It’s not happening — In his own words, ‘I have never even given it a thought.’ Not happening,” Scavino wrote on X.

A source close to the transition process separately confirmed to The Post that Rogers was no longer in the running to oversee the bureau.
