Trump trolls PM Justin Trudeau as the ‘governor’ of the ‘Great State of Canada’ amid tariff talks

“It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada,” Trump, 78, ribbed on Truth Social shortly after midnight.

“I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all! DJT.”

Trudeau, 52, flew down to Mar-a-Lago to dine with Trump on Nov. 29, when the incoming president apparently teased that Canada should be absorbed into the US — if the country refuses to comply with his new tariff plan.

Trump welcomed Trudeau at his sprawling West Palm Beach, Fla., estate after the 45th president threatened to impose a 25% import tax on both Canada and Mexico, as migrants and illicit drugs continue to flood across both the southern and northern borders into the US.

The Canadian PM pleaded with Trump not to impose the high tariff because it would “kill” their economy, Fox News reported.

“So your country can’t survive unless it’s ripping off the US to the tune of $100 billion?” Trump reportedly responded, referring to the American trade deficit with Canada.

Trump in the talks apparently tried to cajole the Canadian leader into also splitting up the Great White North into two states — one liberal and one conservative — with another dinner attendee noting that, without the division, the US would only gain one “very liberal state.”

Trudeau and his entourage laughed “nervously” at the prospect of being annexed by the US, according to Fox News.
