“Gov. Hochul is an embarrassment to the position she holds,” Homan raged during a joint sit-down with Mayor Eric Adams on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”

“Gov. Hochul, she needs to be removed.”

Homan laid into the governor over the state’s “Green Light Law,” which grants driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants but bans the DMV from providing the feds with personal information about immigration status.

“After someone is burned alive on a subway, she stands in front of TV cameras and says, ‘I think criminal aliens should be removed too,’” he said, referring to the death of a woman on a subway in December at the hands of an illegal migrant.

“But she’s got the Green Light Law,” Homan continued. “On one point, she’s saying, ‘Well, I think criminals should be removed too.’ But then she locks us out of the DMV data.”

Under the 2019 law, inquiries into immigration status are banned and the DMV is prohibited from sharing personal information with the feds and law enforcement unless ordered to by a judge.

Homan argued the law prevents ICE officers from running license plates in New York state during traffic stops — putting them in danger.

“She’s putting men and women at risk every day,” he said. “The job is already dangerous.”

Adams, for his part, sat stone-faced as Homan railed against the mayor’s fellow Democrat.

Homan’s takedown of Hochul came just days after the Department of Justice slapped the Empire State with a lawsuit over the “Green Light Law” — specifically how it limits cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.

The suit, in part, argues that the law can tip migrants off when the feds are looking into them because licensees are also alerted if a federal immigration agency requests their information.

“It’s tipping off an illegal alien and it’s unconstitutional,” US Attorney General Pam Bondi said as she announced the suit. “And that’s why we filed this lawsuit.”

Hochul’s office called the filing “dramatic.”

“Here are the facts: our current laws allow federal immigration officials to access any DMV database with a judicial warrant. That’s a common-sense approach that most New Yorkers support,” Hochul’s statement said.

“But there’s no way I’m letting federal agents, or Elon Musk’s shadowy DOGE operation, get unfettered access to the personal data of any New Yorker in the DMV system like 16-year-old kids learning to drive and other vulnerable people.”

The Post reached out to Hochul’s office about Homan’s comments but didn’t hear back immediately.
