The incident unfolded in Lynwood on Friday, when the teenĀ tried to carjack a vehicle, ABC 7 reported.
Officers were seen rushing in and tackling the teen to the ground as angry bystanders shouted and protested.

The video went viral, with many viewers believing the arrest came at the hands of ICE agents.
Anaheim police later clarified that the men in the footage were undercover officers apprehending the teen for his links to a $1 million robbery in Anaheim Hills on Jan. 20.
He is one of eight suspects sought for smashing an SUV through the doors of a jewelry store during the violent heist.
After ransacking the business in January, the suspects sped off in two Dodge Chargers, crashed twice, ending their wild getaway. However, only seven of the eight suspects were taken into custody at the time.
In addition to his growing rap sheet, the teen also had a felony warrant for his arrest in Los Angeles County, according to ABC7.
